Misinformation hypocrisy

I guess the quickest way to shut down a counter argument is to claim the assertion being made is false, a lie, even dangerous to those who may hear it & act upon it.
This is clearly evident with the Covid vaccine debate.
From the very start, anyone questioning the narrative, questioning the data & questioning the decisions being taken was called a conspiracy theorist & often de-platformed. Once highly respected scientists were all of a sudden deemed fringe, their expertise rubbished & their views deemed extreme.
The Joe Rogan podcast has been incredibly interesting. A free & open platform for these alienated experts to be heard & to put their case forward. The reception from swathes of the public has been enormous with tens of millions of people tuning in to hear their opinions.
This week we have started to see the backlash. From Neil Young to Harry & Meghan, many “celebrities” have voiced their concerns over what they (not medical experts) deem to be “misinformation”.
This annoys me. Ideas should be debated not censored. Joe Rogan would love to have a Fauci vs McCullough debate. I’m sure Spotify would love it too! Science isn’t democratic. In a room of a thousand scientists it may be just one who challenges the accepted hypothesis & creates the idea needed to progress. The best ideas can come from anyone. Remember penicillin was discovered by accident. With tackling new diseases, it’s often the front line Dr’s spotting patterns of what works & doesn’t that leads to the best treatment protocols.
As for genuine misinformation. Millions of people took the vaccine after being told lies by Joe Biden & the CDC. Many believed it would stop them getting the virus. Many more believing they were doing it to protect others. In fact here are two quotes from Biden & the head of the CDC that are genuine misinformation.
Joe Biden: “You’re Not Going To Get COVID If You Have These Vaccinations.”
Rochelle Walensky: “Vaccinated People Do Not Carry The Virus — They Don’t Get Sick. #misinformation
This Lancet article clearly telling us that vaccinated spread Covid just as much as unvaccinated.

We were also told that Dr’s claiming that Ivermectin could help was “misinformation” - yet now there are many studies showing that it has prevented hospitalisations & deaths. How many lives could have been saved if they’d allowed Dr’s to use this harmless, cheap & easily accessible drug to treat people early?
So how can these celebrities be calling for the one safe space where information can be shared to be cancelled when they’ve stayed totally silent to the gross misinformation that’s been spread by the government? Are they stupid? On the payroll? Or is this just more virtue signalling from people who just want to be seen as “doing the right thing”?
Please keep digging deeper. Keep questioning things that make little sense. Listen to those “experts” who have a different view. Look around with your own eyes & see what’s happening out there. Stand up for free speech. Stand up for your basic freedoms & rights. They are yours, nobody has the right to take them away. Do what you feel is right for you & respect everybody else's rights to maybe choose differently.
